Today, our Club is comprised of 47 members who have experience working in a variety of sectors throughout Hampton Roads. This diversity in skills and networks, along with an intense commitment to community, allows our Club to successfully fund projects and initiatives that create true impact in Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampton Roads communities.
Steve Heretick
Club President
A graduate of the College of William & Mary and the Villanova University Law School, Steve dedicated his time to federal service and then as the principal litigator of two law firms, before forming his present practice.
Steve was elected to serve on the Portsmouth City Council from 2004 through 2012, during which time he served as the city’s liaison to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, the Portsmouth Economic Development Authority, the Hampton Roads Sports Authority, among others. And Steve was elected to the Virginia General Assembly in 2015 to represent the 79th House District of Virginia, which includes portions of Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth, where he served until 2021.
Steve has been an active member of the Portsmouth Rotary Club since 2017. He is married to Stephanie von Schaaf and they have one son, Stephenson. In rare time off, Steve enjoys fishing with his son and travel.
